Custom Steel Supply is a rapidly growing steel fabrication company based in Laurens, South Carolina. We specialize in high-quality, heavy-duty steel products for industrial, commercial, and defense-related applications. As we continue to expand, we are seeking skilled and motivated welders to join our team.

What We’re Building: Join a team welding some of the most exciting and heavy-duty steel components in the game:
Custom parts for hydro vac trucks
Diesel generator enclosures and skids for the booming data center industry
Structural steel targets and walls for military and law enforcement gun ranges
Frames and enclosures for robotic warehousing systems
What We’re Looking For: We are looking for motivated self-starters who take pride in their craft. You should be comfortable in a heavy fabrication environment and committed to quality, safety, and precision.
You’ll be welding thick plate and structural steel, including pressure-rated assemblies, so attention to detail and consistency are critical.
Requirements
Requirements:
Proficiency in MIG and Flux core welding (GMAW/FCAW)
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and weld symbols
Experience welding steel plate and structural steel
Self-motivated and team-oriented attitude
Weld test:
The test will include a 3G and 4G ½” plate test with backing strip. This test will be visually inspected at the root, hot pass, and cap levels.
Upon successful completion of the weld test there will be a written test to gauge blueprint and tape measure reading skills. Then an interview with department management.
Be sure to bring all necessary gear to take a weld test including steel toed shoes.
