As a Manager you will be expected to provide excellent customer satisfaction by properly executing our projects and will be aware of ways to prevent problems as well as a problem solver. You will work with the support staff to plan, monitor, and manage the projects. You will also be very involved with managing the activities of your crew which requires a working knowledge of glazing and installation concepts, processes and techniques.
You will manage your time between scheduling, managing costs, and extraordinary communications with the customer. •Plan and execute projects. You will be responsible for new projects from submission through completion, including oversight of shop drawings, other submissions, project closeout and collections. •Build an efficient, well functioning team. Ensure that your team adheres to established schedules, quality and safety standards, and standard operating procedures, both in the shop and on location. •Consistently and professionally communicate with client representatives, vendors, subcontractors, and internal customers. •Review assigned projects to establish action plans, and schedules. •Confirm the accuracy of and the scope of all new work. •Project and track assets, including materials, labor, and other resources; intervene as needed to meet project deadlines. •Communicate with glaziers to project upcoming work and in-house fabrication and job material requirements. Managers are responsible for keeping shop personnel advised of project schedules and manage related material needs. •Work with the accounting department on your projects’ monthly billings. •Monitor the field staff and manage hiring and performance concerns.
•Minimum of 5 - 7 years as a Manager in the glass industry. •Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and work under pressure to meet deadlines. •Must be extremely organized and exhibit a high degree of attention to detail.
As a glazier :
Perform high-end, custom glass and mirror installations from start to finish, including layout, design, and measurements. Provide glass sizes for both framed and frameless showers and steam units. Measure custom mirror walls and cut holes for outlets and polish edges by hand. Perform glass fabrication in the shop and in the field. Install product according to the specifications outlined in the scope of work. Load and unload product ensuring safety and quality protocols are followed. Complete every installation according to company expectations and leave each job site in an orderly and clean manner.
Proficient in hand tool operation and measuring experience and skills are required. Previous experience in the construction/building field. Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record that meets company driver requirements. Excellent problem-solving, communication skills, time management, and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, use of hands, reaching, stooping/kneeling/crouching, lifting up to 10 lbs frequently. Sitting, Lifting between 25 - 100 lbs. We conduct background checks, new hire and random drug testing.
